2023 Birdies for Charity Official Rules

2023 PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

 BIRDIES FOR CHARITY

 OFFICIAL RULES

No purchase or donation is required to participate in the Birdies for Charity contest or to become eligible to receive a prize. A purchase or donation will not increase a participant’s likelihood of winning a prize.

The Birdies for Charity contest is open to all individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States (excluding New York), 18 years of age or older. Employees of Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass, Inc. (“TPC Sawgrass”) and PGA TOUR, Inc. (“TOUR”) and paid tournament staff and the immediate family members of each and those residing in the same household are not eligible. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable laws. A participant need not be present to win. Participation acts as each entrant’s authorization and subscription to be included in TPC Sawgrass and TOUR communications, including email, regarding information, updates and offers of PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. (“PGA TOUR Charities” or “Sponsor”) its sponsors and affiliates, subject to exercise by an entrant of a provided option to opt out of such inclusion. Eligibility to participate is not dependent upon inclusion in such communications.

The contest will commence at 9:00 AM ET on November 14, 2022 and will end at 5:00 PM ET on March 8, 2023. To enter, (i) fill out a manual donation form and provide the completed form to the charity inviting your donation or to Sponsor at PO Box 3112, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32004 or (ii) visit http://birdiesforcharity.playerschampionship.com/ to enter online with a donation. Manual donation forms may be obtained at http://birdiesforcharity.playerschampionship.com/. All entries must be complete and legible to be eligible. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Only one (1) grand prize will be awarded. The grand prize is Ten Thousand United States Dollars ($10,000).  The grand prize has a total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of US$10,000. The grand prize will be awarded to the individual who identifies the exact number (or closest thereto without going over) of birdies made during the competitive rounds of the 2023 PLAYERS Championship golf tournament (the “Tournament”). The guess may be any number. In case of ties, the individual who provides the correct answer(s) to tie-breaker question(s) will be awarded the grand prize. Eligibility of all entrants is subject to verification by Sponsor. Winner is responsible for all taxes associated with award of the grand prize, including, but not limited to, local, state, and federal taxes.

Winner identification will be conducted on or about April 1, 2023 at approximately 4:00 PM ET from among all eligible entries received by a representative of Sponsor in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, whose decision is final.

The exact number of birdies made during the Tournament will include all birdies made by TOUR professionals on Thursday through Sunday (March 9-12, 2023) and any birdies made during the Tournament playoff rounds, if applicable.

Should TOUR or Tournament officials cancel one or more rounds of competitive play due to weather or other conditions, then the following number of birdies shall be added to the Tournament’s birdies total to determine the total number of birdies made during the 2023 PLAYERS Championship solely for purposes of the Birdies for Charity contest and the awarding of the Grand Prize:

Thursday, First Round           400

Friday, Second Round            400

Saturday, Third Round           200

Sunday, Final Round              200

TOUR officials will determine the final number of birdies made except as provided for herein.

All entries must be received by 5:00 PM ET on March 8, 2023, to be eligible. Use of computer programs and other automatic means to enter the contest is prohibited. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than one entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void such entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Potential grand prize winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, liability/publicity release (where legal) and IRS Form W9 within ten (10) days of notification attempt or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
